Leyla Özgener

Leyla Ozgener works as a full Professor/ Doctor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Manisa Celal Bayar University in Manisa, Turkey, where she researched and lectured courses in engineering thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, geothermal, and renewables and supervised 21 M.Sc. and Ph.D’s. She has won several teaching and research awards. Ozgener has also served as a Visiting Associate Professor at Cornell Energy Institute, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, and the Clean Energy Research Center in the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, USA. She has authored or co-authored 4 book chapters, and more than 100 scientific and technical papers on a variety of topics, ranging from thermodynamics to energy, renewable energies, and geothermal energy systems in various prestigious international journals and symposiums. Dr. Ozgener was the investigator of 20 projects for both scientific and industrial institutions, and has a patent. Dr. Ozgener has been an associate editor for the Renewable Energy Focus, Elsevier, and since 2011, a member of the Editorial Board of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Elsevier. .

Önder Özgener

Önder Özgener works as a full Professor/ Doctor in the Ege University Solar Energy Institute (SEI) Izmir, Turkey. Prior to his appointment at SEI in 2000, he was technical director (1999-2000) and LT, Turkish Army, Turkish Air Force (1998-1999) Onder Ozgener has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific and technical papers on a variety of topics, ranging from thermodynamics to energy, renewable energies, and geothermal energy systems in various prestigious international journals and symposiums. He has also served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Cornell Energy Institute, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, and Clean Energy Research Center at University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, USA. He received the TUBITAK Young Scientist Award 2014.
